I'm from Chicago and am a Lake surfer and have been a high school teacher for twenty-one years, and I must say that Ari from Wavelink's style, easy-going demeanor and knowledge of different breaks made for a great day. Ari took me to a couple of different spots in the Encinitas/Carlsbad communities, putting me on some of the best waves I've ridden. What's more, I learned a helluva lot from Ari. He offered his insight with simple critiques on technique. Ari has made me a better surfer — more confident and knowledgeable. For me, surfing in California is special. Thank you Ari.

Absolutely great experience. I went with Stephen. He was patient, kind, a total Cali chill surfer dude who gave me confidence — it was all the water's fault ;) It was a rough day out there, and my first time. Justin and Ari from Wavelink might just be the best coaches in all of SoCal (and I've had a few!). In a short time, they helped elevate my skills to a whole new level, transitioning me from a Wavestorm, to a mid-length, and now to a performance shortboard. Both place a big emphasis on form, incorporating both land and water exercises to strengthen the key muscle groups essential for shortboarding. In the water, they keep attention to the smallest details, which is helping to fine-tune my technique — and the video analysis has been a game changer for my progress. Wavelink sincerely cares about my progress and surf journey and I can't thank them enough.

We had Jake and he was amazing!! I watched him teach my 11-year-old newbie surfer with care and patience. His cheers were the loudest on the beach as my son surfed unassisted for the first time (all because of Jake's tutelage). Jake was the best! Words cannot articulate how this man created such a love and passion in my son! I highly recommend Wavelink. Going to buy a pack of lessons because this company is the best!
